1. What you are agreeing to

By installing or using Mila (the “app”) or this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. “We” below means the developer of Mila, contactable attodor.todorovski.co@gmail.com.

2. The app is free

Mila costs nothing, contains no advertising, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. There is no account to create and no payment to make. We may change this in future, but anything you have already installed will keep working under the terms it was released under.

3. Licence to use the app

You may install and use Mila on any device you control, for personal or educational use, for as long as you like. The application source code is released under the MIT licence; the bundled dictionary and example sentences carry their own licences, described on the attributions page. Those licences govern that content and take precedence over this section for it.

4. Your content and your progress

Your saved words, review schedule, streak and settings are yours. They are stored on your device. If you enable cloud backup, a copy is stored under an anonymous identity, described in the privacy policy. We claim no ownership of anything you write, save or say to the tutor.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the app to break the law where you are;
attempt to overload, abuse or automate the AI tutor, the backup service or any other shared infrastructure the app depends on;
redistribute the bundled dictionary or example sentences in a way that breaks the licences described on the attributions page.

6. The AI tutor

The tutor is a language model. It is often wrong, and it is wrong most confidently about grammar edge cases and idiom. Treat its output as practice material, not as an authority — and never as legal, medical, financial or safety advice. Messages you send to it are forwarded to OpenRouter to produce a reply; see theprivacy policy.

7. Learning outcomes

Mila is a study tool. We do not promise that using it will get you to any particular level, pass any particular exam, or that the dictionary, translations, grammar notes or level labels (A1–B1) are free of error. The dictionary is community-sourced and inherits the errors of its source.

8. Availability

The dictionary, saved words and review scheduling work offline and do not depend on us staying online. The AI tutor and cloud backup do depend on third-party services, and may be slow, rate-limited, changed or withdrawn without notice.

9. No warranty

The app and this website are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of the app or this website. Keep your own backup of anything you cannot afford to lose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects statutory consumer rights you have where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The current version always lives at this URL with the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.
